A guide on Easy Any%
no it's braindead everyone can get sub-6 if they practice enough jkjkjk
Easy Any% is very different from your normal Petal Crash experience. Particularly, your main goal is not to trash your opponent literally, but metaphorically. Strategies vary greatly from high difficulty 100% runs, and here are some of them I thought of.
(Scoring a hit here means taking a life from your opponent.)
- Remember that your opponent is crappy so don't care about garbage! Focus on output and you'll get enough garbage stacked at your opponent's board so that they cannot do anything! Establishing chains against Penny and Deony, and also Lilibri gives roughly the same time, although being much less consistent.
- Check the battle bar regularly so that you know how many petal away you are from scoring a hit. Excess petals DO NOT count for the next hit, so if you accidentally trigger a long chain right before a hit, it's a painful time loss. When the animation for the hit starts, you are good to go for starting to clear petals for the next hit.
- Grow. Grow like crazy. Fall in love with growing, even more than Ore Kid and Zircean. Growing reduces the space available for petals, effectively cutting down animation time for moving petals. Filling up the board gives you both material for clearing and less room for animation time, so grow fast, and grow often. Obviously, don't overgrow.
- Forget chains. They are slow, like REAL slow, and we don't really care about how much garbage they send. Instead focus on clearing multiple petals at the same time. Look for clumps of petals with the same colour. Something like these are easy to spot:
- Building sandwiches also helps. The animation runs simultaneously, making this as fast as clearing 4 petals at once. For the same reasoning, branched chains also works wonders, but they would be hard to build on the fly.
Match breakdown
The matches in the run would be against: (assuming you pick Rosalia, the difficulty are the same though)
- 1.0 Yosoti
- 1.3 Daize
- 1.7 Ore Kid
- 2.1 Penny and Deony
- 2.6 Strelitz
- 3.2 Lilibri
The first 3 matches are easier so you will want to rack up fast times in these matches. The most annoying ones are Penny and Deony, and Lilibri. I personally have sub-60'd P&D but sub-60 in Lilibri is a nightmare. Pray for good RNG and a big chain will come. (when you need it the least)
